This course is designed to get you from ‘Black-Thumbed Houseplant Killer’ to ‘Houseplant Guru In-The-Making’

Join our Houseplant Bootcamp course and join us in our purpose-built Studio to learn everything you need to know about houseplants, and the secrets behind 'perfect looking plants'

No experience required (and no shame - no matter how many plants you might have killed...) just a desire for happy houseplants!

You will be taught and guided by Jordan Isherwood - Owner and Founder of Isherwood & Co, with more than a decade of hands-on experience and excellent houseplant knowledge. Jordan is extremely passionate about houseplants, and is positively fizzing with excitement to share all her knowledge, tips and tricks with you.

THE COURSE 

Be prepared to get your hands dirty, this course is a great mix of informal lectures, demonstrations, Q&As AND practical learning. You will also be invited into our private Facebook group where we share even more resources.

This course starts Wednesday 8th May, with the final session on Wednesday 29th May 2024 (four weeks)

Each session runs on Wednesday evenings 6.30pm - 9pm on the below dates:

Weds 8th May - Botany 101: Back to Basics.

Bring your notebook! This session will be a fast-paced 101 covering all typical houseplants from Arid to Tropical and everything in between. From root to tip, we’ll be breaking down all the botany and why it matters, so by the end of the session - you’ll realize it's definitely not rocket science!

Weds 15th May - Potting On.

Learning how and when to pot on your houseplants. This week you’ll be getting your hands dirty and potting up some plants for you to take home! We’ll tackle the monster by name monster by nature ‘Monstera Deliciosa’ Swiss Cheese Plant (a houseplant classic), succulents, and the tricky-to-pot Cactus.

Weds 22nd May - Propagating 101. 

Learn how to multiply your plant collection! This week covers cuttings & propagation. You’ll learn how different species multiply themselves, the different ways you can propagate different plants including stem cuttings, leaf cuttings, air layering, and division. You’ll also take home some new cuttings for your growing collection.

Weds 29th May - What To Do When It All Goes Wrong?! 

Troubleshooting week. Learn how to troubleshoot an unhappy plant. We will cover common pests, understand contributing factors to unhappy houseplants and how to turn things around...

BONUS! Course students will also receive our recommended houseplant parent toolkit, which includes:

• Carbon bladed snips

• Our recommended houseplant fertiliser

• Coco Coir houseplant soil

• Mini terrarium tools

As well as the newly re-potted houseplants AND cuttings you take home during the course - be prepared to be living in a jungle in no time!
