Christmas Workshops & Opening Hours

CHRISTMAS 2018 graphic hires.png

As a rule, we generally don’t like to start talking about Christmas until at least after Halloween - and because our Autumn Flower Crown workshop at Artefact is sold out - we think now it’s time!

Those eagle-eyed instagram friends of ours may have already seen that we’ve advertised dates for this year’s wreath workshops - we have three different kinds this year.

Short descriptions for those are below, click on the titles of the workshops to go to the booking pages and for more info!

Classic Natural Fir at Isherwood & Co

Join us and learn how to create a classic wreath from scratch, starting with moss, wire and fresh pine. You’ll also learn how to wire and attach dried fruits and festive decorations. All materials will be provided for you, but if you have certain decorations or ribbon you’d like to use in your wreath, please feel free to bring them along.

Friday 30 November - 4 places available

Natural & Dried at GRACE + JAMES, Kings Heath

Join us and learn how to create a pine wreath decorated with all manner of gorgeous dried things (think grasses, twigs, eucalyptus, seed pods, fruits…) whilst you sip on delicious natural wine.

Wednesday 5 December - *sold out*

Tuesday 11 December - 3 places available

Eucalyptus at Isherwood & Co

Join us to learn how to create a eucalyptus wreath from scratch, with moss, wire and fresh British eucalyptus, finished off with a beautiful silk ribbon. All materials will be provided for you.

Hey!

We are looking for a team member to work in our blossoming Stirchley high street shop - Fri/Sat 8.30-4pm and Sun 10am-3pm with occasional help with  workshops, markets, weddings & events (if you can’t work all the days, let us know what you can do!)

You’ll be the face of Isherwood & Co, selling plants & products, be responsible for maintaining the shop, plants, and -most importantly – our customer relationships.

You absolutely have to love houseplants, and know a bit about proper houseplant care. We don’t just flog plants, we buy really nice plants, take proper care of them and make sure our customers leave with all the knowledge they need to keep them thriving. If you only know the basics, no probs! You will have to be a quick study.

Important note: this position includes being on your feet most of the time and getting your hands dirty!

You must be registered as self-employed as you’ll be responsible for your own tax & NI - we pay the living wage - £8.75ph plus other perks.

Interested? Send your cover letter over with a description of why you’re interested in working with us, a CV with your relevant experience, and your instagram handle to Jordan via email, with the subject line ‘Team Member’ to hello@isherwoodandco.com

The application deadline is Friday 28th September at midday and we'll be doing interviews the first week in October. Ideally you'll be able to start ASAP or by the end of October.

We can't wait to hear from you!

CoCoMAD 2018

Hello!

We're over the moon to be holding a flower crown workshop *throughout* CoCoMAD!

For those of you who do not know, CoCoMAD is a local community festival entirely run and paid for by the community through local business support/sponsorship, volunteers - and through your donations in buckets on the day of the festival.

The festival is celebrating it's 22nd birthday - if you need another excuse to wear a flower crown?!

We'll be in the main field from 12noon until about 6pm. Get there early though so you can make/wear your crown for the whole festival.

We will have some ready made but do encourage you to try your hand at making your own, it's really fun - and you can pick and choose what flowers you would like. We'll be using a mixture of the best of British blooms - and some wild things too (not stolen from the park though - from our own homes!)

We'll be posting more about what exactly we'll be doing nearer the time, but for now, save the date! CoCoMAD! You won't want to be anywhere else.

See you Saturday 7th July from 12noon, if not before (hopefully before - have you seen how many peonies we have in this weekend?!)

Visit the CoCoMAD website for more info + to view the programme.
